  • Hybrid architecture: In the head quarter rich clients are located, in the branch network WEB browser (IE6.0) solution is used by users.

Tests

Clavis was seriously stress tested during its implementation. We successfully completed both automatic test and real test by users. The stress test was completed on the real architecture. Tested functionality:

Login and logout

Executed transactions: online and offline cases of selling and buying of investment certificates, discounted treasury notes, shares, listing of mortgage bond. In the online case the system was connected to the test environment of the Bank’s money account management system and MMTS(K2). Because of the limited capacity of money account management systems test environment, separated online and offline test running was necessary.

Automatic tests

We used Mercury Loadrunner application for accomplish the automatic tests.  We simulated appr. 500 users’ work with the help of 10 INTEL  based workstation.

Successfuly completed tests
  • Login and logout
    • Continous test: 120 users had been logged in and out evenly for hours.
    • 500 users logged in at the same time. All of them were succeeded in less then a minute.
  • Offline transactions
    • 240 transactions and 280 login and logout were done in a minute
  • Online transactions (Money account management system connected with MMTS(K2)) 
    • 120 transactions/minute (the efficiency was limited by the test environment of connected systems)
Real tests

Early morning on a working day in a 15 minutes period 400-500 users successfuly logged in. No efficiency problem was found.

On weekends 400-500 users had been intensively testing Clavis. The result is showed below:

On a 5 hours working day at least 36000 transactions can be executed under loading of 120 transactions/minute.

Real operation

In the Bank Clavis is used by 600 users in 220 branches on an avarage working day.
