Strategic Advantages

Dorsum definitely prefers C4 technology at its development planning in the present and in the future. For internal product developing, we also use C4.  In order to make the applications even more up-to-date we continually develop them by the needs of our clients (see: Extended functionality).

The JAVA technology, fully applied in branch network solutions can be run only on C4 compatible databases.

Extended functionality

C4 applications were extended with several new functions such as:

Database Manager Independence

The same C4 application can be run either on MSSQL or Oracle database. Switch from one to the other does not need development or version change. C4 is eligible to log in through windows-authentication.

Multilingual framework

C4 application and the database structure make possible the multilingual running. Turning into different languages means the visual part (screens, messages, etc) and the database content (names, dictionaries, etc) as well. Switch from one language to the other is immediate, program restart is not necessary.

Task scheduler

With the separate task scheduler module that part of C4 application, freely defined automatic opening, closing and other daily procedures can be run.

Modern user interfaces

C4 works with standardized, work flow based user interfaces. The Guide of Standardized Image lays down the look of the system and the characteristic of software ergonomic. Due to the consistency of functions view after learning to handle a screen it is easier to acquire the others. The icons connected to a function are the same everywhere in the system to make their identification easier.
